Mark is Cefas' Director of Science Infrastructure with over 30 years experience in the application of science to product testing and post-spill environmental monitoring. A primary advisor to UK government on environmental impacts of spills Mark also chairs the UK's cross-government Premiam (Pollution Response in Emergencies - Marine Impact Assessment and Monitoring) initiative - now in its 14th year. His science background is in ecotoxicology and he is the author of over 30 peer-reviewed papers.
