Dr Erich Gundlach has participated in oil spill investigations since 1975 as a researcher and technical advisor on oil/shoreline interactions and the movement and persistence of spilled oil. He has published extensively on oil pollution and sediments, environmental sensitivity analyses, contingency planning, emergency response management, and the physical and biological effects of oil pollution. He is currently working on the remediation and restoration of contaminated mangrove habitat.
