I am a second-year PhD student at the University of Essex, Ecology and Environmental Microbiology Group. My main research interests are Marine Microbial Ecology, currently focusing on hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria and their interactions with the use of chemical dispersants as a remediation tool in mitigating marine oil pollution. My work aims to focus on the impact chemical dispersant use has in mitigating oil pollution, to provide support to the net environmental benefit analysis.
