Karen Stone, Chief of the Response Research Branch (RRB) in the Oil Spill Prepardeness Division (OSPD) of the U.S. Deparment of the Interior's Bureau of Saftey and Environmental Enforcment (BSEE). Oil Spill Research Research categories include chemical treating agents, decision making tools, in situ burning, mechanical containment and recover, remote sensing, and shoreline oil spill response. The OSPD mitigates the impact of offshore facility oil spills by ensuring energy producers are trained, resourced, and ready to respond; by performg cutting-edge research and development; and by supporting the National Response System.
