Nicolle Rutherford is a biologist in NOAA’s Emergency Response Division, where she responds to spills and manages the Environmental Sensitivity Index and the Chemical Aquatic Fate and Effects Database programs. Nicolle’ s background is in biology and marine science, wetlands ecology, and environmental policy and permitting. Nicolle previously worked in the private sector as a wetland ecologist and as a biologist at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She joined NOAA in 2008.
