Dalina Thrift-Viveros is the Chemistry Team Lead for NOAA's Office of Response and Restoration, Emergency Response Division, coordinating chemistry hazard assessment support for the US Coast Guard in the event of an oil or chemical spill. She has been working with NOAA since 2011. Dalina graduated from Caltech in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, and earned a master's degree in inorganic chemistry from the University of Washington in 2010.
