Dr Robert Faragher is a research scientist with more than ten years’ experience at Environment and Climate Change Canada in the environmental field of chemical and oil spill research and development (R&D). His specialties include alternative response measures. R&D efforts have focused on the advancement of oil detection, fate and behaviour, and analysis of oil and hazardous materials. He is part of a team whose mandate is to undertake R&D, develop spill response strategies and to provide scientific advice to federal government scientific support coordinators (SSC) during spills.
